We’re more than aviation experts, we’re pioneers. We challenge what’s possible. From breaking the sound barrier to advanced tiltrotor systems. Today, Bell is shaping the future of aviation through specialized engineering. And we want you.

We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.

SPRINT Drives Build Engineer

The Rapid Prototyping (RP) organization serves Bell’s Advanced Programs (AP) team by transforming their designs into concept demo air vehicles. Concept demo air vehicles include both clean-sheet and existing air vehicle modifications. In addition, the RP organization is responsible for fabrication of risk reduction test articles in support of concept demo air vehicle development. This position will be working on the recently awarded Speed and Runway Independent Technologies (SPRINT) X-plane Demonstrator project.

TheSPRINT Drives Build Engineer will serve as the SPRINT Build Team’s focal for all drive system manufacturing activities to include internal and external efforts. This includes gears, cases, masts, planetaries, drive-shafts, etc. The Drives Build Engineer will work closely with the MTC, DSTL, DSC, procurement organizations, external suppliers and the AP Engineering IPTs. They will ensure cost, schedule, and performance objectives are effectively communicated, tracked, and achieved for all drives system content.

What you’ll be doing as a SPRINT Drives Build Engineer

Serve as primary SPRINT build team focal for drives system contentSupport drive system design and producibility effortsCoordinate drive system inputs to the program’s Design Fabrication SpecificationCoordinate all logistics and specialty transportation required for offload executionCoordinate perishable and non-perishable tool design and acquisitionContent author for drives system build strategy and associated programmatic documentation – Quality Assurance Program Plan, Manufacturing Action Plan, Configuration Management Plan, etc. Develop/deploy effective programmatic metrics and supporting data to assess drives system manufacturing build statusLong lead material identification, acquisition and delivery to support SPRINT program scheduleManage offload supplier work packages to maintain part pedigree and ensure QA traceability
