We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.

Rapid Prototyping
This is an engineering position within Bell’s Rapid Prototyping (RP) organization. The RP organization serves Bell’s Program teams by transforming their designs into concept demo air vehicles. Concept demo air vehicles include both clean-sheet and existing air vehicle modifications. In addition, the RP organization is responsible for fabrication of risk reduction test articles in support of concept demo air vehicle development. The RP organization is expected to collaborate with design teams beginning at project inception to accelerate project execution by maximizing concurrency of Air Vehicle Build planning activity.
What you’ll be doing as a RP Air Vehicle Build Engineer
Ensure sound execution of experimental Air Vehicle Build (AVB) activitiesDevelop cost estimates and budgetary requirements for AVBsCreate AVB schedules and coordinate integration into engineering schedulesIdentify and concept AVB tooling / work aids required for assembly @ BellConduct AVB detail part and assembly producibility assessmentsCreate and manage AVB manufacturing work instructions Participate in strategic make / buy decisionsAssist with supplier selection for sourcing detail parts and subassembliesAs required, provide onsite liaison at suppliers / engineering partnersProvide AVB build status reports and briefings to managementDevelop airframe / mechanical design solutions for moderately complex problems based on project requirementsCreate detail, assembly, and installation airframe / mechanical CAD models and drawingsApply technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to provide technical solutions to a wide range of challenging problemsDesign solutions that adhere to the Design Requirements Manual, Airframe Design Manual, Best Practices, and Bell procedures unless directed otherwise by project requirementsSupport development of product changes and improvementsWe’re more than aviation experts, we’re pioneers. We are looking for inquisitive and driven engineers with a passion to innovate.2 years aerospace experience in one or both areas listed below:Airframe or Mechanical DesignAir Vehicle Build TeamBachelor of Science (BS) degree in Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
