RAIL TRACK CONSTRUCTION CAPITAL PROJECT MANAGER

SUMMARY
This role will be an integral part of Ameritrack’s project development team and ongoing growth strategy. You will provide end-to-end project management expertise including customer business development to leadership oversight on projects to successful handoff. You will provide the important function of overall coordination and collaboration of a variety of responsibilities. This position calls for a rail project management professional with strong interpersonal skills in addition to the technical competencies outlined below.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES:
• Engage with customers and potential customers for ongoing strategic business development and growth.
• Effectively manage relationships between customer, corporate leadership and frontline operations for successful project outcomes.
• Analyzes requests for proposals to develop professional responses for construction projects
• Ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times through guidance and collaboration with our safety professionals.
• Ensure financial performance of projects aligns with stated goals utilizing evaluation forms, customer reports, PO requests, safety audits, month-end reporting, progress billing and end of project billing.
• Identify deficiencies in track infrastructure and prepare proposals and pricing for correcting deficiencies for customers.
Manage projects through constant communication with our operation leaders, ensuring that all conditions of proposals are met.
• Manage inventory and vendor orders going to jobs, making sure that all materials are on site in a timely manner.
• Motivate and maintain a high level of morale among employees.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of operating procedures, safety rules, and rail
construction operations.
• Ensure that payroll, fuel costs, equipment costs, and other costs are managed
effectively. Properly maintains the purchase order system.
• Coordinate with operations adequate resources and work schedules so that each crew has a balanced mix of experience with appropriate expertise in all job types.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
• College degree in Engineering, Building and Construction Technology or equivalent
relevant construction management experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write professional proposals, routine reports, and customer correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
• Math / Computer skills: AutoCAD preferred. Ability to work with all units of measure
such as computing ratios, percents and interpreting bar graphs.
• Microsoft Excel and Word …. fully functional
• Experience with standard problems that occur in a construction environment.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk extensively, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance or stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

• Must occasionally lift and or move up to 100 pounds

Pay Range:
