Work Schedule: + 20 hours per week, with several shift options available! + 5-, 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts available, with possible opportunities to work shorter shifts, as well! + Rotating daylight and evening shifts between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. + Rotating Saturdays (12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.) and Sundays (10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.) factored into schedule. + No major holidays or overnight hours required! Locations: + Children’s North (Wexford), Children’s South (Bridgeville), Children’s East (Monroeville), Children’s West (Moon), Children’s Express Care Cranberry (UPMC Lemieux Center), and Children’s West Mifflin. + The Radiology (Diagnostic, X-Ray) Techs will have a “home” location based on their address, and will travel to select additional local sites up to 50% of the time. + Free parking at all locations! If you’re passionate about patient care and eager to grow professionally, apply today! _Applicants will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary based on individual experience and education, at manager discretion._ Responsibilities: + Performs diagnostic radiography and other procedures utilizing established protocols/procedures. + Properly identifies all patients by using two patient identifiers. + Reviews patient history, assesses physician orders, and documents patient history in electronic record, as required. + Administers PO/enteral and rectal contrast per physician orders. + Ensure exams are coded, tracked, networked, and charged correctly. + Utilizes complex imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, and documentation of image data. + Interacts with patients and co-workers with care, dignity, and respect. + Demonstrates the ability to communicate instructions to patients in a clear and concise manner and explain procedures to help allay the patient's fears and solicit their cooperation. + Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or verification from ARRT-approved school of completion of program and scheduled graduation date. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: + ARRT Certificate or ARRT registry eligible. + Must obtain Radiography registry within 6 months of hire date. + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within 30 days of hire. + Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewals **UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran**
