As a Radiology Tech at MercyOne, you will:

Assist physicians or radiologists in specialized proceduresProvide patient, family, and nursing units education on diagnostic testingUtilize critical thinking in daily and emergent assessment of proper exam protocolExamines any human body part for use in the diagnosis of medical problemsDemonstrate compassion, empathy and respect to customers and co-workersObserve safety precautions when handling patients, for producing clear radiographs in order to facilitate treatmentAssess each patient for proper exam prep (if applicable) and appropriateness of each exam orderedFollow exam protocols that have been set in place for the Radiology Department

Schedule:

1st and 2nd Shift - variable36 hours per weekEvery 3rd - 4th weekendHoliday rotation

General Requirements:

Active American Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)Active Iowa Department of Public Health Permit to PracticePrevious experience preferredMust be BLS certified within 3 months of hireMust possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission and vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health

Education:

Graduate of a 2-year accredited Radiology program
