As a safety net hospital, MetroHealth plays an essential role in the region, caring for anyone and everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.** **_Primary Patient Population:_** **· Underserved population in the Greater Cleveland area** **· Cancer Patients** **_Primary skills utilized/learned:_** **· Performs a variety of technical procedures in diagnostic radiology and one specialty area of radiology for the diagnosis of diseases in children through adult patients. Specialty areas are CT and Breast Imaging.** **_Personnel Multi-Modality Tech will work with_** **_:_** **· The Mamm/XR staff work closely with Nurses, Physicians, Respiratory Therapists and other care team members throughout the hospital to provide the best care possible for all MetroHealth patients.** **_Awards or Recognitions the unit has received:_** + **All CT scanners are ACR Accredited** + **Early life cycle CT and X-Ray equipment at Brecksville, Cleveland Heights, and Parma** + **All Mammography/XR Technologists credentialed through ARRT** + **Performs a variety of technical procedures utilizing Mammography/ Breast Imaging & X-Ray scanning equipment in the diagnosis of diseases in humans.** + **Functions in a multi-purpose role depending on the needs of the patients and the department, and in line with The MetroHealth System approved policies and procedures in accordance with specific governing ODH regulations.** **Qualifications:** **Required:** **· Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program** **· Registered Radiology Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)** **· ARRT M credential or obtains within one year of employment.** **· Valid Ohio Radiographer License (ODH)** **· American Heart Association BLS Certification or obtains within the standard probationary period.** **Preferred:** **· One-year related experience, as well as advanced certification through the ARRT in CT.** **Physical Requirements:** **· May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.** **· May need to lift, pull or push over 50 lbs.** **· May need to sit or stand for extended periods.** **· See in the normal visual range with or without correction.** **·Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.**
