Radiology Scheduler
Description Are you looking to make a direct impact in patient care and healthcare operations? We are currently seeking a Radiology Scheduler to support our Perioperative and Interventional regions. As a Radiology Scheduler, you will be the first point of contact for patients and play a key role in managing a smooth and efficient scheduling process. The ideal Radiology Scheduler thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels in communication, and is passionate about patient service. Responsibilities + Schedule pre-operative appointments in APEC and IR grids. + Scan and upload radiology records to PACS and Life Image. + Coordinate new and return patient scheduling, including imaging studies and clinic visits. + Manage a high volume of incoming and outgoing patient calls. + Maintain follow-up communication with patients after procedures. + Work directly with Nurse Practitioners to ensure smooth scheduling processes. + Support managers with patient openings and schedule blocks (Super User duties). + Perform case intake and scheduling. + Retrieve and view medical records via RightFax. + Scan and distribute external medical documentation. + Run location-specific reports for various medical facilities. + Attend weekly staff meetings and contribute to team discussions. + Cross-train in all scheduling functions to allow departmental rotations. Requirements Job Requirements + Education: + High School Diploma or GED required. + Associate's Degree preferred. + Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus. Skills & Abilities: + Strong communication skills—both verbal and written. + Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Windows, Excel, and Word. + Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in high-pressure situations. + Comfort working with Windows-based office software and other clinical systems. + Experience with scheduling software, medical record systems, and RightFax is preferred. + Proven ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with patients and clinical staff. + Demonstrated professionalism and calmness in high-stress environments.
