Our Leaders prioritize the well-being of all staff members and nurture their ability to grow._ **_Are you ready to become a part of our dynamic team where you can grow and advance, all while making a difference in patient’s lives?_** **Shift:** Full-time, Days (40hrs/wk) The Radiology Nurse Navigator serves as a patient advocate and liaison between patients, radiologists, referring physicians, and other healthcare providers. This role ensures patients are well-informed, prepared, and supported throughout their imaging journey, particularly in interventional radiology, cardiac catheterization , or diagnostic imaging procedures. **Essential Functions:** Patient Coordination & Advocacy + Guide patients through radiology procedures, ensuring they understand the process and expectations. + Serve as the primary point of contact for patients undergoing complex imaging or interventional procedures. + Advocate for patient needs and preferences with the healthcare team. Education & Support + Educate patients and families about imaging procedures, risks, benefits, and post-procedure care. + Provide emotional support and address concerns related to diagnosis and treatment. Care Planning & Follow-Up + Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with radiologists and referring providers. + Monitor patient progress and follow up on imaging results and next steps. Scheduling & Logistics + Coordinate appointments, tests, and procedures across departments. + Ensure timely scheduling and communication between radiology, oncology, surgery, and insurance providers Documentation & Compliance + Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. + Ensure compliance with HIPAA and institutional policies. **Required Skills:** + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to multitask and manage complex patient cases. + Proficiency in EMR systems and scheduling software. + Compassionate, patient-centered approach. **Education:** + Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
