The role you’ll contribute:

The Radiology Nurse is responsible for the delivery of coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients within the Imaging department. This role demands a thorough understanding of both departmental and hospital policies and procedures related to the field of interventional and diagnostic radiology, as well as routine nursing procedures. Utilizing nursing skills such as assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, the Radiology Nurse ensures competent, compassionate, and cost-effective care during the patient's time in the Imaging department. In addition to primary nursing care, responsibilities include preparation, assessment, documentation, sedation, and monitoring in line with hospital policies and procedures. This position actively participates in providing patient-specific care standards and follows service excellence standards to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction. The role requires experience in the specialty area of radiology clinical nursing and involves collaboration with other healthcare disciplines to achieve successful execution of the patient's plan-of-care. The Radiology Nurse continues to monitor and assess the patient's physical condition, emotional, and social needs, refining the plan-of-care to ensure the desired goals of the patient and facility outcomes are achieved. This performance is in compliance with established policies, procedures, and protocols under the supervision of the Imaging Manager, Director, and VP of Operations. The role may require taking calls as rotated/assigned and responding within a specific time frame. The position also supports the organization's mission, vision, and participates in promoting an atmosphere where imaging staff can openly discuss process improvements, adhering to rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.

Assist physicians performing procedures

Prepping and draping the patient if needed.

Passing instruments, guide wires, catheters, etc. if needed.

Monitoring patient blood pressure, Oxygen levels and pulse as directed by physician.

Maintains integrity and sterility of equipment and supplies throughout the procedure.

Minimum qualifications:

Associate's of Nursing Required

1 acute care nursing experience Required

Registered Nurse (RN) Required

Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required

Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) Required
