Radiologic Technologist I or II or LMRT - OPIC Pediatric Urgent Care (Matrix schedule, up to 19 hoiurs/wk)

This is an open-pooled position. Applicants' education/experience will be considered and the position may be filled at a lower or higher level, as appropriate.

LIMITED MEDICAL RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST (LMRT)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required:

·    High school or equivalent

·    Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program that meets the requirements for Texas certification of a Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT)

Preferred:

·    Three years of directly related patient care experience as a Medical Assistant, LMRT or other relevant imaging technologist experience

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS OR CERTIFICATIONS

Required:

·    Certification of a Limited Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) in Chest, Extremities, Skull and Spine or a Temporary Limited Certificate with the expectation of obtaining certification in Chest, Extremities, Skull and Spine within 6 months of hire

·    BLS Certification (AHA)

JOB SUMMARY

To provide technical, supportive, age specific and developmentally appropriate patient care functions for assigned clinical area.  In addition, have the LMRT skill set to perform diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing state of the art imaging equipment in a multi-faceted environment.  While performing radiographic procedures within the scope of licensure, LMRT will be able to utilize the imaging equipment and utilize the appropriate exposure factors to ensure a high quality of imaging. All imaging will be performed with minimal supervision and strictly adhere to the established practice and safety standards of UTMB. When the LMRT is not assigned to perform in the LMRT role, the LMRT is expected to fulfill all expectations and responsibilities of a Medical Assistant.

RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST I

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Radiologic Technologist I position works independently to complete a variety of routine, diagnostic radiology procedures to include common and special fluoroscopic exams of routine to moderate complexity. This position provides direct assistance to physicians with all diagnostic and fluoroscopic procedures. This Radiologic Technologist I position delivers exceptional patient care and adheres to diagnostic radiology exam standards and guidelines established by governing agencies to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service. This position is a member of the direct patient care team.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates of Applied Science Graduate of an accredited radiography program 0+ years of experience

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS OR CERTIFICATIONS

Required:

American Registry for Radiology Technologist (ARRT-R) Texas Medical Board certification (MRT) American Heart Association BLS

RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST II

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Radiologic Technologist II position is an experienced technologist and unit educator, competent in a variety of routine to complex diagnostic and fluoroscopic procedures. This position is a member of the direct patient care team and is fully competent in all aspects of diagnostic radiology exams.  The Radiologic Technologist II position serves as a mentor and trainer for Radiologic Technologists I and preceptor for clinical students. This position works independently by exercising sound judgment and executing above average clinical skills on challenging diagnostic procedures. The Radiologic Technologist II position provides direct assistance to physicians with all diagnostic radiology and fluoroscopic   procedures. This position delivers exceptional patient care and adheres to diagnostic radiology exam standards and guidelines established by governing agencies to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service.
