Job Overview Here at Fairview, we are now seeking a Radiologic Technologist to work at our Fairview Sports and Orthopedics Clinic in Blaine, MN! This is a .78 FTE (63 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work the following schedule: Monday- 9a-6p Tuesday- 7:30a-3:30p Wednesday- 7:30a-3:30p Thursday- 7:30a-3:30p Weekend Requirement- 8a-12p once every 4-6 weeks The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians in a Sports Medicine and Orthopedic setting through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. Responsibilities Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes Demonstrate appropriate sterile and aseptic technique Identifies relevant data from images accurately Communicates effectively Creates a culture of patient safety Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness Verify patient identification and documentation Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures Ensures patient data integrity Adheres to radiologic safety guidelines and diagnostic testing protocols/procedures Accurately documents in compliance with regulatory agency requirements, completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, and billing status changes Follows infection control guidelines Serves as a resource for other healthcare team members Responds to emergent situations Acts as a resource for problem-solving resolution Participates as an active team member Collaborates with providers and team members Participates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position Cleans and maintains room and supplies Provides integrated services with customers and care partners to ensure high quality care Contributes to a positive work environment Correctly operates equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines Identifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working properly. Accepts new technology as it’s introduced into the facility Participates in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendations Required Qualifications Technical Certificate in Radiology or Associated Degree in Radiology American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Basic Life Support (BLS) Preferred Qualifications 1 – 3 years radiology experience in Interventional procedures Benefit Overview Fairview offers a generous benefit package including but not limited to medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, PTO and Sick and Safe Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement, early access to earned wages, and more!
