Radiologic Technologist
Job Title: Radiologic TechnologistJob Description As a Radiologic Technologist, you will perform routine diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic procedures to produce high-quality images while adhering to radiation and physical safety measures. Your role involves calculating exposure factors, evaluating images for diagnostic quality, and ensuring patient safety and comfort during exams. You will also demonstrate knowledge of contrast media injections and reactions, oversee student radiographers, handle telephone scheduling procedures, and operate the PACS computer system. Responsibilities + Perform all routine diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic procedures. + Produce high-quality images with a minimum of repeats while applying radiation and physical safety measures. + Calculate appropriate exposure factors and evaluate images for diagnostic quality. + Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during the exam. + Demonstrate knowledge of contrast media injections and reactions. + Oversee duties assigned to student radiographers. + Handle telephone scheduling procedures and operate the PACS computer system. Essential Skills + Proficiency in radiology and radiologic technology. + Experience as a Radiologic Technologist. + Knowledge of imaging techniques and hospital radiology. + Competence in operating X-ray equipment. + Certification with ARRT. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Graduate of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology training program approved by the Council of Medical Education of the AMA. + Registered or registry eligible with the ARRT. + Basic Life Support certification. Work Environment You will work in a 656-bed hospital that includes specialized centers such as The Alexander Burn Center and The Peggy V. Helmerich Women’s Health Center. The facility offers the latest technology for cancer treatment and houses the Oklahoma Heart Institute. The role involves 12-hour shifts, during the day on Thursday through Saturday, with alternating weekends from 7 AM to 7 PM. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
