Job Description
As a Radiologic Technologist, you will perform a wide variety of technical procedures across multiple modalities, including X-ray, CT, and Dexa, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare room and patient according to the order.Perform all procedures, including CR and DR x-ray procedures and Bone Density exams.Assist Interventional Radiology procedures under CARM guidance.Properly set up equipment, position patients, and determine proper exposure factors to produce high-quality images.Observe patient status and interpret necessary information such as medical history, symptoms, and procedure explanations, with associated documentation.Maintain and restock supplies in XR and CARM rooms, keeping an accurate list of items to be ordered.Produce diagnostic, high-quality images for interpretation.Safely transfer patients to and from imaging tables using assistive devices as necessary.Maintain accurate patient record keeping in EMR, ensuring images are correctly sent to the PACS system.Communicate effectively with Radiologists.Complete and bill studies accurately and promptly.Assist fellow technologists when not busy with XR/CARM specific duties.Essential SkillsProficiency in imaging, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and DEXA.Experience with PACS and RIS systems.Ability to operate standard imaging equipment including XRAY, CARM, and CT equipment.Knowledge of patient positioning and technique selections for various modalities.Excellent customer service skills with professional oral and written communication abilities.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology or graduate of an approved ARRT Certification program in Radiologic Technology required.NYS licensure and ARRT certification, with the possibility of a pending license to start.CT license is a separate qualification.Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, pull, and twist for extended periods.Capability to lift objects as required.One year of experience preferred but open to training entry-level candidates.Multi-modality experience such as CT, MRI, and Mammo is preferred.Work Environment
This medium-sized facility offers on-site free parking and does not require late nights, overnight hours, or on-call duties. Limited weekend work may be necessary. The use of C-ARM for interventional procedures provides variety in daily tasks.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $68640.00/yr.
