Radiologic Tech II - Mammo Tech
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** **Position Purpose** The X-Ray Tech II is responsible for operating radiographic equipment as required, to obtain diagnostic exams according to radiologist specifications. This position will assist the radiologist in a wide range of sterile procedures and is responsible for the care and treatment of all age ranges of patients, to include pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. **What you will do:** + Performs general radiography and mammography. Properly positions patients to obtain desired diagnostic results, places protective lead shields on patients, and sets correct technical exposure. + Performs a variety of related clerical tasks such as retrieving previous films, filing, answering phones, relaying messages, completing encounter forms and scheduling. + Educate patients and family members so that they have a transparent understanding of the care being provided. + Performs quality checks on equipment in accordance with department procedure. Produces the highest quality radiographs and digital images with the lowest practical dose of radiation in accordance with procedure ordered. + Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork **Minimum Requirements:** + Education: Associate’s degree in Science or equivalent post-secondary education required. Must be a graduate of an accredited diagnostic radiography program. + Licensure: A.R.R.T. registered and current State license in radiography and mammography. + Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of clinical internship and two (2) years of post-educational experience as a Radiologic Technologist. Requires a strong working knowledge of radiographic equipment.
