As a Senior Radio Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of Sonos products by driving the design, validation, and successful production launch of innovative new radio systems. You'll lead a small team, guiding the development, validation, and transition of new radio designs into high-volume production. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, collaborative spirit, and the drive to innovate in a dynamic environment. This role involves leading a small team in the complete lifecycle of new radio designs, from development and validation to their successful implementation in high-volume manufacturing. It requires a combination of strong technical skills, excellent teamwork abilities, and a proactive approach to innovation within a fast-paced setting.
What You'll Do:
+ Lead the definition of radio system architecture and critical chipset selection, setting the technical foundation for new products.
+ Develop detailed schematics for complex radio systems and oversee PCB layout design, ensuring optimal RF performance and manufacturability.
+ Conduct rigorous system bring-up, meticulous debugging, optimization, and comprehensive performance verification, ensuring robust and reliable radio operation.
+ Execute in-depth characterization of full radio system performance (receiver and transmitter chains) and key peripheral devices such (e.g., RFIC transceivers, LNAs, PAs), measuring essential parametrics like sensitivity, power, EVM, and linearity.
+ Work hand-in-hand with multi-disciplinary teams including Software, Digital EE, and Platform teams to deliver innovative radio solutions that not only meet but exceed challenging Product Function Specifications.
+ Drive and oversee the proper execution of radio testing and debug at our JDM partner facilities, providing critical technical oversight and leadership to their radio team for effective root cause analysis during development and manufacturing.
+ Provide critical technical oversight during the transition from initial development through to high-volume manufacturing, acting as a key interface to ensure exceptional quality and smooth production.
+ Proactively address and resolve wireless-related production problems, contributing constructive and timely solutions to minimize manufacturing impact.
