Qualifications:

Required:

Graduate of a n Accredited Radiation Oncology Technology ProgramPossess a Valid NJ State License as a Radiation TechnologistRegistered or registry eligible by the ARRT

Preferred:N/A

Certifications and Licenses Required (if applicable):

Maintain required BLS

Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions):

8:00—4:00 Days Per Diem

Essential Functions:

Checks beam directional devices for accuracy and timing devices for consistency. Checks output of a standard field size when necessary, checks ultrasound when necessaryChecks treatment room to ensure high standard of technical performance and good patient care. Reports needed item to Chief TherapistCorrectly identifies patient, checks treatment parameters, consent and accurately sets-up patient for treatment. Schedules patients for treatmentsCorrectly identifies patients and positions them for Simulation. Performs tumor localization procedures and simple dosimetry procedures when requiredAdheres to patient rights: provides for the confidential treatment of all communications and records.Utilizes principles of continuous quality improvement in all work situations to assess, measure and improve organizational and department functions.Organizes work sets priorities with a minimum of supervision and seeks guidance as appropriate.Makes decisions that are timely and consistent with department, objectives, policies and procedures.
