We are looking for a dedicated Radiation Therapist PRN like you to be a part of our team. **Job Summary and Qualifications** As a Radiation Therapist, you'll provide direct patient care within the scope of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. You'll use therapeutic communication, maintain a safe environment, and identify patient needs, planning individualized care with an interdisciplinary approach. You'll also participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to the hospital's mission and vision. **What you will do in this role:** + **Assess patient status** and their reaction to treatment daily, communicating concerns to the appropriate personnel. + **Follow proper procedures** for treatment field verification and approval. + **Fabricate custom treatment devices** according to proper procedures. + **Educate patients** about radiation therapy treatment procedures. + **Set up and accurately deliver patient treatments** based on prescriptions and treatment plans. + **Operate linear accelerators, simulators, CT, and other related equipment** safely and effectively. **What qualifications you will need:** + **Graduation from a school accredited in radiation therapy instruction.** An Associate of Science (AS) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree is also acceptable. + **Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy (RT[T]).** + One year of experience as a Radiation Therapist is preferred.
