**A caregiver in this position works Days, from 6:00am-5:00pm.**
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Provide care and delivery of radiation therapy to both adult and pediatric patients.
+ Are proficient in advanced therapy delivery systems such as Gamma Knife, High Dose Rate Brachytherapy and Total Body Irradiation techniques.
+ Monitor and document patient's condition and report any adverse reactions.
+ Coordinate treatment delivery with acute care patients (ICU, NICU, and PICU).
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Graduate from a School of Radiation Therapy Technology approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEA) or be registry eligible.
+ Board certified Registered Radiation Therapist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), R.T.(R)(T) (ARRT) in good standing.
+ Current state licensure if required by law in the state in which you are employed.
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association (AHA).
+ Experience with radiation oncology specific electronic medical record as well as record and verify.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Experience with external radiation therapy, IMRT, IGRT and CT simulation.

**Physical Requirements:**
+ Requires ability to perform duties while walking, standing, stooping, reaching and lifting.
+ Requires ability to lift materials weighing up to 35 lbs.
+ Requires ability to push/pull over 100 lbs.
+ Requires dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions.
+ Requires Safe Operating Procedure for x-ray generating equipment.
+ Requires ability to work the hours of operation - flexible.
+ Requires ability to take "call" on weekdays and weekends based on a rotational schedule.
+ Requires ability to float to other CCHS facilities when needed.
**Personal Protective Equipment:**
+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
