Radiation Protection Supervisor (Plant Hatch)
JOB SUMMARY:
The radiation protection supervisor is responsible for providing active leadership by supervising a team of radiation protection technicians responsible for health physics related activities that support the conduct of operations and maintenance activities within radiologically controlled areas of the facility. The person in this position will be responsible for providing oversight of the work management processes and the planning and preparation to support radiological work activities. The supervisor implements procedures to meet site and regulatory requirements. The supervisor also supports the emergency response organization by filling a designated position within the on-call rotation.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Focus on Safety First and wellness to ensure employees follow safe work practices. Effectively lead the radiation protection technicians by developing clear goals, accountabilities, performance measures and developmental plans; hold employees accountable for demonstrating performance that is consistent with expected performance; plan for workforce changes to ensure work is not interrupted; value input from employees and incorporate suggestions, as appropriate. Engaged in the work management process by participating in the T week planning and critique process and providing direct oversight of field activities. Spend regular time in the field with employees providing oversight and direction, developing trust, and fostering relationships that promote an engaged workforce.
