**We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manufacturing Operations Associate Director to join our McKinney, TX, Consolidated Manufacturing Center (CMC) and lead our Radar & Test factory. This newly established Factory Operations Manager (FOM) role will be responsible for primarily the Surveillance portion of the RF Systems Integration (RFSI).** The successful candidate will oversee all production and test activities, ensuring that manufacturing targets are met while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This leadership position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, supply chain, quality, production control, and industrial engineering, to drive continuous improvement and deliver world-class products.
**Responsibilities to Anticipate:**
+ Lead and oversee factory and test operations, ensuring production goals are met in terms of output, quality, and on-time delivery.
+ Collaborate with engineering, quality, supply chain, and other departments to optimize production workflows and ensure seamless integration of new products into the manufacturing process.
+ Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, including ISO and AS9100 certifications.
+ Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as TAKT, in-house production times (IHPT), yield, labor utilization, equipment availability and capacity, and cost-per-unit.
+ Drive the cross-functional implementation of CORE, lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity, reducing lead times, enhancing efficiency, and reducing waste.
+ Develop and mentor production managers, cell leaders, and other operational staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
+ Manage budgetary and financial performance for the operations group, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial goals.
+ Report directly to senior leadership, providing regular updates on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ Typically requires: A university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 10 years’ experience.
+ _Relevant experience is work within manufacturing operations_
+ Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
+ Continuous Improvement experience (Six Sigma, Lean practices, Kaizen, Value Stream, Agile, etc.).
+ Managed production teams in a high-mix, low volume (HMLV) manufacturing environment (preferably in RF assembly and test).
+ Experience with capacity planning, production scheduling, and/or operational efficiency improvements.
+ Worked with ERP/MRP systems (production planning and inventory management).
+ Managed budgets, cost targets, and/or financial performance within manufacturing operations.
+ Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
**Qualifications We Prefer:**
+ Master’s degree in operations management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Operations Management.
+ Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification.
+ Knowledge of safety, environmental, and quality regulations relevant to manufacturing.
+ Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and lead unique teams.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
+ Experience in driving cross-functional collaboration across departments (engineering, supply chain, quality, etc.).
+ Hands-on experience with automation and Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g., IoT, predictive maintenance, AI-driven manufacturing solutions).
+ Familiarity with RF assembly manufacturing and test processes, including cleanroom environments.
+ Experience leading large-scale continuous improvement initiatives that resulted in significant cost savings or process enhancements.
+ Demonstrated success in recovering critical programs to schedule and driving consistent and predictable deliveries.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
