ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Assists Manager with staffing, team scheduling and ensuring coverage for clinic during all hours of operation (stays in weekend rotation if applicable).
· Continuing all essential functions of Rad Tech/Lab duties.
· Investigates problems and makes recommendation to the manager for resolutions.
· Facilitates clinical department meetings.
· Mentors new-hires.
· Assists with coordination of and participates in orientation and staff development activities as requested.
· Utilizes clinical staff to evaluate and determine priority situations.
· Participates effectively as a lead-team member in the clinic being a resource and accountable to peers, providers and patients.
· Assumes responsibility for implementing QA and core-competency guidelines within the clinic, as required.
· Assists with implementing process changes or other duties as assigned to meet clinic goals.
· Provides leadership to the clinical staff and is a liaison between the clinical staff and the clinic manager.
· Assists in enforcing safety, OSHA, and blood borne pathogens regulations.
· Assists with performance standards and evaluation of clinical staff.
· Facilitate department huddles if applicable.
· Responsible for overseeing and adhering to requirements for regulatory requirements and governmental regulations in area of service.
· Ensure equipment remains in working order, helps with supplies, inventory, complete necessary logs or paperwork for service area.
· Coordinate webinars and education events as requested.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
· Utilizes clinical staff to evaluate and determine priority situations
· Oversees crash cart maintenance if applicable.
· May be a timekeeper.
· Performs other related work as required.
· Work includes cross coverage in other clinic areas as team needs.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
· Current licensure as RT, through ARRT.
· Maintain State of Iowa permit to practice Radiology.
· Clinic/Physician office experience preferred.
· Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
· Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained by the end of the orientation period (approximately six (6) weeks).
