The Opportunity:
As the R2R Fixed Assets Accounting Analyst(CLA) for Americas RSS in Costa Rica, you will perform advanced accounting functions, conduct complex analysis and audits, and ensure compliance with accounting principles. You will serve as a key contact for affiliates and provide expertise to colleagues, playing a crucial role in refining and implementing accounting policies.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Lead complex accounting analysis and auditing for assigned areas, serving as a subject matter expert for affiliates and an internal resource for colleagues.
Prepare and manage complex financial and cost activities, including trial balances, balance sheets, financial statements, profit-and-loss statements, and sourcing/application of funds. Create monthly journal entries, ensuring proper data collection, cost analysis, and audit trail support.
Draft detailed commentary or explanations for report items of significance, conduct investigations into accounts, and recommend actions to management.
Provide and clarify data for customers, secure necessary information, and deliver accounting advice based on established principles and practices.
Ensure systems and procedures comply with company policies, accounting standards, and regulations.
Act as an internal resource to colleagues, supporting their development and training. Perform additional duties and lead projects as needed.
Who You Are:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
Fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English.
Proven knowledge of GAAP or IFRS, and auditing principles.
4+ years of accounting experience, especially in Fixed Assets; prior experience in General Ledger, Management Accounting, and Inventory/Cost Accounting is a plus.
Proficiency in computerized applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, G-Suite) and SAP Modules (FCC, FI, CO/PA, MM, FA).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize, organize work effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
