As an R&M (Repair & Maintenance) Technician at Weatherford, you'll perform hands-on maintenance and repair of field tools and equipment. You'll be responsible for the complete maintenance cycle - from receiving tools, dismantling, repairing, and refurbishing them according to technical specifications to prepare them for their next assignment.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in daily safety meetings and promptly report any issues Maintain equipment, facilities, and work areas in safe condition Repair and maintain tools and equipment using precision measuring instruments and testing devices Inspect parts using measuring tools to determine dimensional requirements Follow maintenance procedures for tool handling: unloading, disassembly, cleaning, testing, painting, assembly, and storage Complete all required documentation and work orders accurately Operate lifting equipment, forklifts, and other machinery safely (certification required) Process incoming and outgoing shipments with proper documentation Support LEAN initiatives and continuous improvement programsAdditional Duties for Senior Positions
Lead maintenance teams and troubleshoot complex equipment issues Implement corrective actions and ensure compliance with procedures Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures Schedule and distribute work assignments Evaluate quality and efficiency of work being performedQualifications
High school diploma 0-2 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry Basic computer skills Basic mathematics skills Ability to work with hazardous materials safely Good reading, writing, and problem-solving skills Physical capability to perform required tasks Time management and quality control skillsWork Environment
You'll work in a workshop environment handling tools and equipment, sometimes working with hazardous materials, radioactive elements, under strict safety protocols.
