The NI R&D organization in Penang, Malaysia has an immediate opening for a talented R&D Test Engineering Group Manager.
As part of a global organization, you are responsible for managing the development and deployment of manufacturing test solutions, driving change, managing projects and overseeing the career success engineers and technicians.
The successful candidate should have over 2 years of experience in technical management with additional hands on experience in product test and manufacturing. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage personnel, lead multiple projects and drive corporate initiatives in an international environment is required. Additional knowledge in the development process from concept through manufacture is preferred.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Responsible for the day-to-day execution, management and reporting of test solution development, including managing resources, costs, scope and meeting deadlines according to plan
Guide engineers and technicians in the development and execution of projects associated with test solution development, including functional test, ICT, High-Pot, etc.
Coordinate with product development groups to scope test solution requirements, test team resources and manufacturing needs to deploy test solution in a timely and efficient manner
Work closely with global manufacturing facilities to improve process, manage test solutions and meet manufacturing goals
Ensure test deliverables are created, processes are followed and appropriate approvals are obtained for test solutions
Participate in the review of requirements and deliverables of test solutions in order to support engineers in the development of test strategy and plans
Define and implement improvements in test development process and test solutions deployed to manufacturing

For This Role, You Will Need:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Sciences
2 or more years in technical management
Practical knowledge of manufacturing test functions such as Functional, High-Pot, ICT, etc.
Strong understanding of electronics, computers, instrumentation and high-level programming languages
Demonstrated success in project management
