Immediate hiring need for an R&D Technician! ** For immediate consideration please apply to this posting and email your resume to habels@actalentservices.com** Job Description Join our team as an R&D Technician, where you will play a crucial role in the development and assembly of innovative medical device prototypes. You will work with advanced manufacturing techniques and contribute to testing, validation, and technical support. Responsibilities + Assist in the fabrication, assembly, and modification of medical device prototypes using machining, 3D printing, and other manufacturing techniques. + Operate and maintain shop equipment such as CNC machines, lathes, and laser cutters. + Conduct mechanical, electrical, and functional testing of medical devices to support design improvements. + Assist in verification/validation (V&V) testing according to FDA and ISO standards. + Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electromechanical systems. + Support manufacturing teams with process improvements and fixture design. + Maintain lab equipment and ensure a clean, organized workspace. + Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) for test records, drawings, and reports. + Adhere to quality management systems (QMS) and regulatory standards. Essential Skills + Basic machine shop skills + Familiarity with CAD and ability to draw basic parts + Experience with machining, CNC machines, drill presses, and hand tools + Experience in writing protocols and reports for test procedures Additional Skills & Qualifications + 1-2 years of experience in a similar role + Experience in a regulated environment, preferably medical or aerospace + Machining experience using manual machines such as drill presses, sanders, CNC, and manual machines (Mill & lathe) Work Environment Work in a dynamic medical device R&D site, equipped with state-of-the-art tools and technology, offering a collaborative and supportive work environment. The position offers a 12-month duration with the potential for extension. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
