Describe the purpose of this job and why it exists:

As part of technical people of DWS AP R&D, this position, under the direction of the Group Leader, exists to provide product/application development for mainly reverse osmosis (RO) and nanofiltration (NF) in industrial water treatment segment.  Working location is at Shanghai.

The candidate is expected to:

-Act as innovation project regional focal point or project leader for RO/NF business.  Be responsible for product innovation, including concept shaping, technical design, testing validation and product launch, etc.

-Co-work and partner with cross functional teams (Marketing, Technical Service, Sales) in local market. 

-Align product development strategy for various customer needs.  Lead product innovation projects aligning with R&D strategy under global research platform support.

The primary responsibilities of the candidate include:

-Conduct research to understand and deliver solutions to complex technical problems in industrial RO/NF applications.

-Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates detailed project phases to safely meet objectives and timeline.

-Engage technical/non-technical functions to maximize the success of projects, to bring new insights to customer, and translate customer roadmaps in potential new application developments.

-Strong business sense and ownership of Dupont technology and IP.

Qualifications:

Master Degree or above, in chemical engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering, etc, but not limited to.Motivated, independent and responsible person with teamwork spirit.Good verbal and written English communication skills.Communicates and appropriately documents work in the form of internal reports.Fresh graduate or 1-3 working experience is more preferred.10% - 50% travel time if needed.The skills with ONE of below adds score:Analytical chemistry, user of UV-Vis, Fluorescence, GC/LC, MS, NMR, IC/ICP, SEM, DSC, etc.;Organic synthesis (>5 steps);Programming software user, like Python/C++;Designing software user, like ProE/Solidworks;Computational fluid dynamics, user of Fluent, etc.;Data statistics, statistical software user, like JMP/Minitab/SAS/SPSS;Finite element analysis, user of ANSYS/ABAQUS, etc.;
