We are looking for an R&D Senior Technician (2-year Fixed Term Period) to join our R&D team based in Istanbul and will directly report to Sensory & Consumer Experience Manager. Responsibilities The DI Sensory Panel Coordinator is a full-time contractor role based in Istanbul, Turkey within PepsiCo’s R&D function. This position focuses on the administration and coordination of sensory panels, supporting product testing and evaluation, managing sensory lab operations, and ensuring adherence to health, safety, and confidentiality protocols. The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented candidate with strong organizational and communication skills. Panel Administration: Organize test schedules, coordinate sensory panel planning, manage sample delivery logistics, and ensure compliance with safety procedures. Panel Management & Testing: Facilitate efficient and timely sensory sessions, train panelists on test methodologies, plan weekly test schedules, and perform timely panelist screenings to ensure adequate participation. Panel Motivation: Track panelist attendance, maintain engagement through regular motivation efforts (e.g., distributing materials/products). Reporting & Analysis: Generate technical reports in the required format, provide test debriefs to EXP, and ensure adherence to internal deadlines. Sensory Laboratory: Procure necessary sensory materials, oversee all sensory and storage rooms, manage sample disposal and storage, and prepare and serve samples during testing. Project Support: Support internal tasting sessions and testing events (e.g., Product Decision Events, MPT sessions), including preparation, labeling, and sample serving. Health, Safety & Confidentiality: Enforce all site and lab-specific H&S rules, and uphold confidentiality for all business and customer-related information. Qualifications Master's student or recent graduate in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Food Engineering, Food Science, Sensory Science, etc). Strong proficiency in English. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working with large groups (30+ panelists) and R&D stakeholders. Good presentation and documentation skills. Sensory science background is an advantage but not mandatory. Proficiency in MS Office tools. Highly organized, detail-focused, and process-driven. Self-starter with strong motivation and ability to manage workload independently.
