Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product, and/or solution development, as well as associated Intellectual Property (IP). Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development for specific product-related issues and maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions.The work model for the role is: #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification business Smart Power division in Hyderabad, India.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tShould be good at generating software requirement specification and detailed design from product technical specs•\tFamiliarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems.•\tWorking knowledge of LabView is an added advantage•\tConduct & lead all program reviews related to Software development with stakeholders to ensure design robustness and adherence to the NPI Process.•\tCommunication skills: listen to the customer and translate those into actions. Clearly communicate ideas/concepts to management team.•\tCreate/enhance user experience by improving the usability, information architecture and interface aesthetics among other UX design aspects. Manages the documentation and communication of design.

Qualifications for the role

\tBS/MS in Electrical engineering / Computer Science from reputed institutes, Good understanding of power system protection and controls.\tProficiency in programming languages commonly used for desktop applications (e.g., C++, Java, Python, etc.). \t8+ years of experience with desktop application frameworks, such as .NET (Visual Studio, WPF/WinForms)\tStrong knowledge of UI/UX design principles specific to desktop applications.\tKnowledge of Electrical Protection equipment and protection standards like IEC, ANSI, UL.\tProven problem-solving capability - ability to find and define a pragmatic & workable engineering solution.\tGood understanding of all phases of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile, requirements analysis, Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring, Testing Techniques and deployment.
