This Position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to create products, systems, services, or technologies for ABB’s business units. Each day, you will facilitate the end-to-end execution of one or more Research and Development projects. You will also showcase your expertise by achieving associated milestones, targets, and desired outcomes.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Business in Distribution Solutions in Bangalore, India

You will be mainly accountable for:

Leads local and cross-functional project/s with limited complexity and/or sub-project of a complex project as responsible for all elements of the project/s. Motivates and leads internal and/or external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones.

Manages the project team allocated to the project, defining, with key stakeholders, the scope of work, cost/budget, resources required, time schedule and detailed work allocation. Monitors and controls project cost and financials. Formalizes acceptance of the project and brings all the project elements to a conclusion. Ensures project results are transferred to relevant line organization or department responsible. Captures lessons learned.

Ensures project follows sound methodology and execution practices in accordance with standard ABB internal directives and procedures. Ensures projects follow external standards etc. that influence activities and targets.

Identifies, contains and reduces risk. Ensures appropriate handling of change requests. Ensures transparency around unforeseen results/events and identified risks and makes sure that they are properly prioritized, managed and communicated.

Uses own technical domain knowledge to provide technical support to colleagues or other functional teams.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)

BE / B. Tech / ME / M. Tech, Computer Science/ Electrical or/Electronics and communication / Electronics and Instrumentation.

14- 18 years of Working experience in software & hardware Product development of Power system domain.

Working experience in Multiple and complex projects

Good experience in defining project Metrics & Measures

6 to 10 years of relevant project management experience

PMP or equivalent project management certification.
