What will you do?

We are seeking a motivated Product Engineer to join our circuit breaker components development team. This role offers a unique blend of hands-on technical work and collaborative project experience, providing an excellent foundation for a career in product engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Design & Development:Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD tools (NX or ProE Creo)Support the development of new product designs and improvements to existing productsAssist in material selection and specification processesLearn and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principlesParticipate in design reviews and technical discussions
2. Testing & Validation:Support prototype development and testing activitiesAssist in creating and executing test plansDocument test results and prepare technical reportsHelp identify and resolve product design issuesParticipate in failure analysis when required
3. Documentation & Standards:Maintain product documentation including drawings, specifications, and BOMsSupport the creation of manufacturing instructionsHelp develop and update design standardsAssist in maintaining engineering change notices (ECNs)Learn and apply industry standards and regulatory requirements
4. Cross-functional Collaboration:Work with manufacturing teams to ensure producibility of designsCoordinate with quality control for inspection requirementsInterface with suppliers for component specificationsSupport production teams in resolving technical issuesParticipate in project team meetings and status updates
5. Continuous Improvement:Contribute to cost reduction initiativesAssist in process improvement projectsHelp identify opportunities for design optimizationSupport value engineering activitiesLearn and apply lean manufacturing principles
6. Technical Skills Development:Build proficiency in CAD software and engineering toolsLearn product development methodologiesDevelop understanding of manufacturing processesGain experience with project management basicsBuild knowledge of industry standards and best practices

What will you need to succeed?

Bachelor in Engineering such as Mechanical, Electrical or relatedAt least 3 years of experience in product design or related area (manufacturing, processes, maintenance)Knowledge of CAD Software (NX, ProE Creo, Solidedge, Solidworks or similar)Familiarity with common manufacturing processesEnglish AdvancedMS OfficeSAP is desirableStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesDetail-orientedCommunication skills
