Responsibilities The opportunity As an R&D Product Development Sr Engineer, you will act as Platform Leader responsible for innovation, productivity, brand management, and portfolio transformation projects in collaboration with cross-functional PMF (PepsiCo Mexico Foods) teams. Your objective will be to develop and implement key projects aligned with strategic plans to ensure business continuity—leading initiatives through prototypes, lab testing, and pilot plant trials, as well as delivering the required documentation and execution for each project. Your Impact As an R&D Product Development Sr Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Engineering, Operations, and extended R&D teams) to develop and launch innovative products. Qualifying production lines, ingredients, and formulations for new products or product improvements. Working with external suppliers to identify capabilities, develop formulations, and ensure quality standards. Using sensory, analytical, and consumer data to design successful products. Leading the technical process from idea generation to product launch and post-launch follow-up. Evaluating technical and business risks and proposing mitigation plans. Qualifications Who are we looking for? Education Bachelor’s degree in food engineering, Food Chemistry, Food Technology, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or a related field. Experience 4+ years of experience in product development, food processes, or project management. Fluency in English — you’ll be collaborating with regional and global teams. Strong ownership and time management skills — you're comfortable working independently and driving results. Experience leading cross-functional teams (in-person and virtually) within matrixed organizations. Comfortable working hands-on in production plants, pilot plants, and lab environments.
