We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated R&D Pilot Plant Technician to join our Global Pilot Plant team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the development, testing, and scaling up of new products and processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with the latest food technologies and contribute to the creation of innovative and sustainable food solutions in a fast-paced multicultural environment.
What Will Be Your Key Responsibilities?
As an R&D Pilot Plant Technician, you will play a crucial role in our innovation process. Your responsibilities will include:
Support Development: Assist product and packaging development teams in the R&D development kitchen and pilot plant with sample production.Sensory Evaluations: Support product sensory evaluations and structed taste assessment (STA)International parcel shipment: Arrange international shipments for raw materials and samples what have been made in the pilot plant.Quality Adherence: Ensure all prototype samples are made in compliance with global standards in good manufacturing practices, HACCP, GMP and in line with Mars Quality Management processes and pilot plant operational framework.What Are We Looking For?
Passion for Food: An associate who is passionate about food and actively participates in the development of healthier and sustainable products to deliver better food today for a better world tomorrow.Educational Background: Diploma in Food Science/ hospitality area, background in food R&D/ manufacturing environment is preferredCommunication Skills: Proficient in written and verbal communications in English (Dutch is highly desired).Technical Experience: Experience in operating and maintaining pilot plant equipment and machinery.Safety Knowledge: Understanding of safety standards and protocols.Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in performing R&D tests and experiments; including reporting.Work attitude: Has no issue with repetition work. Can lift 20kg max, ready to work in uniform, 5 days per week on siteWhat Can You Expect from Mars?:
