R&D Manager. You've established your people management and leadership ability. Here's where you take it further. You will lead one or more project teams involved in the investigation or development of new products, processes and technologies, ensuring co-ordination in integration of product/process design work cross-functionally. The candidate will provide technical leadership of process chemistry that delivers oligonucleotide Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing processes. Additionally, the position is responsible to conduct laboratory scale experiments using current best practices for robust technical transfer.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Responsible for people management of process chemistry individual contributors

Responsible for technical leadership of process chemistry to achieve business commitments

Responsible for process chemistry support of project teams that may include process establishment, process optimization, intermediate sample production, reference standard production and finished product batch production.

Provide knowledge and ideas for solving key operational challenges

Design and conduct laboratory-scale experiments in a safe and effective manner with expertise in operating numerous process chemistry instruments.

Design and conduct laboratory-scale experiments using current best practices for technical transfer.

Present technical summaries in business settings such as customer meetings, internal strategy or external conferences.

Maintain process compliance integrity by adhering to standard operating procedures (SOP's) and current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) as appropriate.

This role will report to the Boulder, CO site and it does not have the option to work remotely.

Qualifications

Bachelors or Master Degree or University Degree or equivalent

10+ plus years of relevant experience as a manager, supervisor and/or individual contributor.

Requires proven skills in leading/managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics.

Demonstrated experience with personnel management with multiple years relevant people management experience.Demonstrated experience with process chemistry in support of technical transfer for API production with experience in Oligonucleotides or related synthetic materials.Demonstrated experience to present technical summaries in business settings such as customer meetings, internal strategy or external conferences. 

Strong communication skills to work with interdisciplinary project teams to understand project requirements, follow project timelines and responsibly deliver on commitments.

Ability to use and skillfully operate laboratory equipment.Knowledge of and skill in using computer software and hardware applications, including Microsoft products and the Internet.

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $143,760.00 - $224,625.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
