As a strong business and functional leader, you will be responsible for delivering a continuous pipeline of new and improved products in addition to supporting product improvements, cost savings, brand maintenance, supply assurance, and sustainability. You will partner with Marketing, Insights and Sales to build new consumer ideas and drive them to launch, advocating for technical excellence. You will be a key leader in business growth projects, engaging manufacturing to bring products to life successfully. As a people leader, the R&D Manager role is key to building our culture of inclusivity, demonstrating dedication to growth and development of our scientists and driving overall team engagement. **In this role, you will:** + Lead a team of up to 5-7 scientists across product & process with responsibilities for coaching, development, technical rigor, and performance appraisal. Encouraging inclusion, diversity and engagement of the team. + Deliver business results by ensuring technical rigor and appropriate staffing for on time and in budget projects. + Apply creative problem solving skills and internal/external collaboration to deliver technical and consumer solutions as part of a cross functional team + Identify and champion solutions to consumer, technical and business challenges by developing a strong understanding of the homecare category, our consumer, our technology, retailers and our business model. + Effectively partner with supply chain and sales to ensure seamless execution of new product launches. + Encourage and foster team's knowledge management and data curiosity through connections with core Modeling & Simulation group. \#LI-Hybrid **What we look for:** **Skills and Experience (Must Have):** + 7+ years job experience in consumer goods industry; home cleaning preferment. Multinational Companies of CPG related to foods, drinks, home cleaning products, cosmetics, etc. + Fluent English skills, both written and oral. + Technical expertise on formulation technologies like disinfectant, oxidants, and surfactants. + Proven people leadership skills. 3+years direct people management experience. + Positive drive, and commitment in setting and meeting ambitious goals and enjoy working in a variety of cultures and settings. + Proven skills of strong leadership, critical thinking, technical rigor, risk assessment, communication and partnership. + Strategic Vision with ability to propose, analyze, and articulate short-, medium- and long-term scenarios for business opportunities + Willingness and time availability to travel internationally. **Nice to Have:** + Ph.D. or MS in relevant science. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Food Science, or Biochemistry + Knowledge and experience in manufacturing operations. + Flexible with changes in project direction + Strong leadership skills to be Responsible for overall technical excellence + Clearly articulates vision for area of expertise + Excellent networking skills that can drive collaboration within Clorox and external partners + Ensures flow of new information into Clorox + Champions utilization of appropriate technology across regional teams **Workplace type:** Hybrid (3 days on site/2 days home office) **We seek out and celebrate diverse backgrounds and experiences.
