Job Title: R&D Lab Technician
Job Description

This position involves a range of engaging activities focused on troubleshooting, stabilizing, and addressing external customer complaints, batch issues from manufacturing, and quality-related tasks.

ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the team to investigate and resolve customer and manufacturing complaints for General Industrial Liquid products by prioritizing, executing, and analyzing experiments and tests with clear and accurate results.Provide timely and accurate data to assist in resolving field complaints, raw material issues, manufacturing problems, and support existing and new product development.Display a basic working knowledge of using chemicals, raw materials, substrate preparation, and instruments commonly found in a lab environment.Input data, conduct data analysis, and maintain technical documentation daily in lab books or databases.Function under minimal supervision from management and other group employees, focusing on product development and performance enhancement.Utilize advanced technologies to innovatively troubleshoot issues perceived by consumers.Perform basic paint-making processes for the production of Liquid finished goods that meet manufacturer specifications.Conduct basic coating reformulations, applications, and physical/performance testing methods specifically related to Liquid products.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math field.Knowledge in math, chemistry, and computer skills for basic inputting, communication, and data analysis.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.Ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently.Excellent organization and planning skills.Team-oriented and skilled in collaborative work environments.Additional Skills & QualificationsPreferred degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.Experience with Liquid development and manufacturing processes.Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to discern colors accurately for paint tinting.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
