R&D Lab Engineering Technician
Overview This role will support R&D development work at the Technology Process Center (TPC) in Dallas , Texas. This position will be responsible for partnering with R&D development teams to execute development work at TPC across multiple process platforms Supporting site QA Lab Operations. Responsibilities Provide QA Lab operational support for Research and Development product development teams. Operate lab analytical and/or food processing equipment efficiently with a minimum of downtime to meet daily development objectives. Maintain Lab/Lab Equipment maintenance and compliance programs. Partner with R&D engineers and food scientists to deliver exceptional development operational QA Lab support. Maintain Lab status to Audit readiness condition, troubleshoot, and resolve operational and lab analytical issues. Initiate ideas and solutions to enhance lab and/or processing equipment reliability and performance. Actively participate in all team continuous improvement training and skill development activities. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work safely in an industrial environment following cGMP practices. Work with limited supervision to complete both assigned and self-identified tasks. Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $45,000 - $71,800. Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Qualifications HS Diploma or GED manufacturing/production environment or in an R&D testing center, preferably in the food industry. Experience with food processing equipment, production, and/or test systems. Experience/skills to operate analytical equipment Highly developed critical thinking skills with ability to solve daily operational issues. Flexible – willingness to work off-shifts and weekends. Willingness to flex between work sites ( Dallas Technology Process Center and Plano Process Lab). Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work safely in an industrial environment. Computer skills required - Excel, Word, Power Point, Microsoft Outlook Team player, flexibility, mechanical aptitude, work with limited supervision, self starter, written and verbal communication skills.
