Job Title: R&D Engineer II
Job Description

This role involves assisting in the development of the 2nd generation Carpal Tunnel Device, aiming for a Q1 2024 launch. The successful candidate will work alongside a lead engineer to deliver accurate and efficient results, primarily focusing on design verification through various testing methods and documentation.

ResponsibilitiesAssist in the development of the 2nd generation Carpal Tunnel Device.Conduct design verification through tensile testing, compression testing, materials testing, and prototype testing.Document findings from various tests and experiments.Engage hands-on with prototypes and contribute to continuous improvement using 3D printing.Provide assistance in other departments as needed, including line validation and supply chain.Work mainly in the R&D lab, utilizing welding and microscope equipment.Author documents and continuous improvement reports.Essential Skills3+ years of experience in relevant fields.Proven experience in medical device testing and prototype development.Ability to perform validation documentation and design verification.Proficiency in SolidWorks and mechanical engineering.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with tensile testing, Keyence, and prototyping.Familiarity with 3D printing and molding processes.Knowledge of line validation and balloons.Work Environment

The position is fully on-site, working primarily in an R&D lab equipped with test equipment. The role offers hands-on experience with a new medical device design, contributing to a strong growth trajectory.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
