Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB’s success with technology, software, product, and system development. Each day, you will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team.The work model for the role is: #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification business Smart Power division in Hyderabad, India.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tHighly motivated self -driven engineers to work in electronics firmware development related to electrical distribution and control products.•\tShould be good at generating requirement specification and detailed design of microcontroller-based products. Should be very good at structured coding & arriving at system architecture.•\tDevelop and implement firmware test plans to ensure design quality and completeness to specifications.•\tAbility to produce detailed functional design specifications and associated documentation from internal and external documentation sources.•\tExcellent organizational, interpersonal, communication & project management skills required.•\tClearly communicate ideas, concepts to team and create an environment that inspires constant innovation in product and processes. Generate and Protect IP ( Intellectual property ). •\tMentor junior level engineers in the team, Participate in design reviews and provide suggestions for improving the quality of product.•\tDesired - Knowledge of Electrical Protection equipment and protection standards like IEC, ANSI, UL.

Qualifications for the role

\tB. Tech/M. S/ M. Tech or equivalent in ECE/EEE from reputed institutes with 4+ years of hands-on experience in developing firmware related to Electrical protection products - ATS, UPS, Trip units, Controls Electronics & smart Energy meters\tMust have developed multiple products from concept through production (has been through one or more big project cycle)\tShould be very strong in ‘C’ / C++ and assembly Language programming.\tHands-on Firmware development experience on 16/32-bit microcontrollers and development tools like Emulator, Simulator, and Debuggers etc.\tExperience in writing device drivers for ADC, SPI, UART, USB\tCoding experience for RS485, USB, CAN ,Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet , Bluetooth and Wifi.\tExperience on working with KEIL, ARM compilers. Worked with EEPROM, Flash, RTC, Microcontroller, Microprocessor and SOM.\tExperience in qualification of product for EMI/EMC and agency certification.
