R&D Engineer
The R&D Engineer supports the development of medical device products, including writing or verifying specifications, maintaining product process, designing fixtures, test processes and equipment and raw materials to ensure concepts and/or prototypes meet requirements. This role is located in Irvine, CA with the expectation to be in office 5 days a week. Check out our product portfolio: Stryker Inari (https://www.inarimedical.com/) **What you will do:** + Design, develop, and verify mechanical components for medical devices under supervision. + Assist with prototyping, bench testing, and development of new test methods and fixtures. + Support root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts, maintaining component traceability. + Contribute to Design Reviews and own individual Design History File tasks, including testing and drawings. + Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and other teams to drive project success. + Conduct research and statistical analysis to support product design and process development. + Understand customer needs, clinical use, and apply industry standards and regulatory requirements. + Generate and evaluate new design concepts, including intellectual property development. **What you need:** Required Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering + 0+ years of work experience Preferred Qualifications: + SolidWorks + Computer skills including MS Office, PowerPoint and Excel + Fundamental knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering practices and design principles within a regulated environment. + Basic knowledge of design and concept generation CAD or CAE modeling tools. + Basic knowledge of analysis tools and statistical methods. + Basic knowledge of materials and manufacturing methods. + Ability to read and interpret complex drawings. + Basic knowledge of Machine Shop and 3D printing practices. + Basic knowledge of Medical Device Manufacturing. + Ability to communicate basic plans and technical information to team members. + Ability to communicate with physicians. $79,500 - $123,500 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
