Your role and responsibilities 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB's advancements in technology, software, product, and system development. Each day, you will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems. You will also showcase your abilities by providing ideas and by being able to work skillfully and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation - Energy Industries at Bangalore, India. 

You will be mainly accountable for:

Responsible for the whole SW development life cycle (SDLC) of working software: Requirements engineering, design, implementation, test including final system testing and maintenanceDevelop software components and interfaces to embedded systemsAutomate system and integration testsHandle software configuration management and build processesContribute in different phases of  software development, ranging from feasibility studies and simulations to implementation and testingSpecify, design, implement and execute tests of the software functions Collaborate well with R&D teams , to deliver the Product releases on time, with good quality .Align with assigned targets (time, cost, quality) and complete project deliverables.Demonstrates sound understanding and usages of R&D processes and tools.

Qualifications for the role 

BE / B. Tech / ME / M. Tech, Computer Science/ Electrical or/Electronics and communication / Electronics and Instrumentation.2 -5 years experience in design of Software applications.Extensive experience in software architecture and programming for industrial applications SW using Microsoft Technologies (C#/WPF/ASP.NET/.NET Core) C# 5.0 or greater, WPF, SQLHigh level proficiency in OO design & programmingGood knowledge of industrial Ethernet communication (HTTPS, secure SOAP,REST API, OPC UA, sFTP)Fair Knowledge in cyber security, SQL Server, SQL LiteExperience in working in an agile development team and with Azure DevOps environmentShould have good analytical and problem solving skillsExperience with power electronics applications would be an advantageGood communication skill
