Now Hiring: R&D Design Engineer!! Job Description Collaborate with the Research and Development team to design and develop innovative equipment solutions. You will be responsible for creating and evaluating proof-of-concept models to validate ideas for further development, as well as presenting concepts and prototypes to internal teams, customers, or partners to refine product direction. Responsibilities + Design and develop new equipment solutions with the R&D team. + Create and evaluate proof-of-concept models for idea validation. + Present concepts and prototypes to internal teams, customers, or partners. + Work with technicians during the development phase to test equipment on the floor and field. + Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Solidworks with 1+ year of experience. + Knowledge of sheet metal design and finite element analysis (FEA). + Experience in new product development and prototyping. + Familiarity with MATLAB. + Expertise in R&D processes. + C++ programming skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Agriculture Engineering. + Experience with C++, Python, or MATLAB is preferred. + Robotics, perception sensors, and control system experience are preferred. Work Environment This position operates in a cubicle environment with a Monday to Friday schedule starting at 6:30 AM, for a total of 40 hours per week. Approximately 70% of the time will be spent working with Solidworks, while the remaining 30% will involve testing and prototyping on the floor. The role includes time spent in R&D testing fields. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
