Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of infrastructure projects, ensuring cost-effective delivery while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for infrastructure projects, including materials, labor, and equipmentConduct detailed quantity take-offs from design drawings and perform on-site measurements to verify quantitiesMonitor and report on project costs, identifying any deviations from the approved budgetAssist in the procurement process, including preparation of tender documents, bid evaluation, and contract negotiationManage subcontractor agreements and review invoices to ensure compliance with contract termsEvaluate and manage variations to the original contract, preparing and submitting variation orders as neededConduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and verify completed workIdentify potential cost risks and suggest mitigation strategies to minimize financial impactMaintain accurate records of all financial transactions and project documentationLiaise with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to address financial or contractual issuesPrepare final accounts and detailed reports summarizing project costs and variationsStay updated on industry best practices and continuously improve cost estimation and reporting processes

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering from an accredited institutionMinimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on infrastructure and civil engineering projectsActively working towards or holding MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) accreditationProven experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial reporting for large-scale infrastructure projectsProficiency in quantity take-off techniques and measurement of civil engineering worksStrong knowledge of construction contracts, particularly NEC and FIDIC forms of contractExcellent skills in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in industry-standard cost management software (e.g., CostX, Causeway)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, contractors, and project stakeholdersFamiliarity with local construction regulations and standards in Saudi ArabiaArabic language skills preferredAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirementsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
