Quantity Surveyor – Painting & Refurbishment Projects
Location: Cumbria, Carlisle
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £40,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
We’re currently hiring an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage painting and refurbishment contracts across Cumbria, Carlisle. This role is ideal for a commercially focused professional with a strong background in planned maintenance, repairs, and redecoration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and price tenders for painting and planned refurbishment worksLead projects from start to finish, ensuring cost control and margin improvementProduce and manage Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and financial forecastsAdminister subcontractor packages and applications for paymentEvaluate bills of quantities and schedules of rates accuratelyCollaborate with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Requirements:
Qualification in Quantity Surveying (HNC/HND/Degree/Diploma or equivalent)Proven experience in painting, refurbishment, or planned maintenance sectorsCommercially strong with knowledge of contracts, procurement, and reportingProficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting toolsExcellent organisation and time management skillsComfortable working with both direct labour and subcontractors
