Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking for a new opportunity in Plymouth?
One of the South West’s leading construction and groundworks contractors is seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their growing Commercial team in Plymouth 3 days a week with the option of working from home for 2 days.
Due to a number of new sites starting and increase in workload, the group are seeking a QS to strengthen their team. Projects vary and can include residential developments, roads & infrastructure, retaining walls and bulk excavation.
Key Duties:
Provide commercial input to the management team.Help ensure that business targets and KPI's are exceeded.Preparation of monthly cost / value reports for area, together with review of resultsProduction of commercial reports together with review of results and consideration of trends with other contract team members.Physical measurement of works and agreement of same with client and subcontractors.Agreement of certification and payment of subcontractor accounts - monitoring of such accounts against forecasts.Ensure cash flow is maximised including ensuring payments are received on timeKey Duties:

Hold a relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction ManagementCSCS cardGood knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, especially ExcelExperience in providing commercial support to design and consulting and/or highways contracts (especially under NEC 3 /4 forms)Experience of successful main contract management supportingExperience in supply chain procurement, management and accountingExperience within dispute resolution and avoidanceExperience in commercial and financial budgeting and reportingUnderstands and promotes an inclusive working environmentUK Driving licence
