At PwC, our people in Actuarial, Risk and Quants (ARQ) provide actuarial, quantitative and financial consulting services to a wide range of clients and across a broad landscape of industries. By building strong relationships with our clients and within the global PwC network, we ensure that we are always able to deliver insightful and relevant solutions to significant and complicated risks faced by our clients.
We are seeking a talented and motivated Quantitative Specialist with 2 – 5 yrs of professional experience to join our team. You have expertise in the valuation of derivatives and financial instruments and a passion for delivering quantitative modelling solutions to real-world problems.

Requirements:
We’re looking for candidates with 2 – 5yrs of quantitative experience with modelling derivatives or valuing financial instruments.
The following degrees and professional qualifications will be considered:
Mathematical Finance / Financial Engineering
Quantitative Risk Management
Actuarial Science
Financial Modeling / Mathematical Statistics
FRM, CFA, CQF or Actuarial Qualifications
Technical knowledge of programming languages like Excel VBA, Python, R and Matlab is an advantage, with a preference for candidates who have advanced skills in at least one of these languages.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement quantitative models to solve complex financial and risk-related challenges for our clients.
• Design, test and deploy derivative and valuation models across a wide range of instruments.
• Build and assess hedging strategies for market risk exposures, including hedge effectiveness testing and support for hedge accounting under applicable financial reporting frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose and deliver clear value.
• Assist clients with financial instrument valuations including complex derivatives and corporate finance valuations structured deals.
• Hold yourself and others accountable to deliver exceptional client experience, delivering quality reports using leading technology responsibly.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, helping people move through challenges and instilling confidence.
• Manage risks by following PwC policies and consulting.
• A sense of ownership and drive to see tasks and projects through to success—both independently and in leadership of others.
• Excellent project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects and work to deadlines.
