What is the global, tech-driven asset management team responsible for?

We are a global, tech-driven asset management team at the forefront of the financial industry. We combine data, research, technology and trading expertise to solve complex investment challenges. As a Quantitative Developer, you will leverage quantitative analysis and software engineering to build advanced models and systems that enhance our crypto trading strategies and risk management processes. This role offers high ownership: you’ll work with a collaborative global team on cutting-edge digital asset research and analytics.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of Quantitative Developer?

Responsibilities:

Risk & Performance Dashboards: Develop interactive quantitative dashboards to monitor portfolio risk and performance, leveraging large datasets to deliver actionable insights.

Research & Valuation Systems: Design and maintain high-performance systems for quantitative research and valuation of major cryptocurrencies, enabling robust modeling.

Data Integration: Curate, clean, and integrate new data sources (market data, blockchain, alternative data, etc.) to enrich our investment analytics and predictive power.

Data Architecture: Develop and implement scalable, long-term data architecture and infrastructure strategies to support growth of our research and trading platforms.

Data Quality: Establish automated data-quality frameworks and validation pipelines to ensure accuracy, reliability, and best practices across all datasets.

Strategy Development: Collaborate on the creation and scaling of innovative investment strategies and products, translating quantitative research into production-ready tools.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

Required Qualifications:

Experience: At least 2+ years of professional experience developing quantitative finance systems (beyond internships) and a total of 4+ years of hands-on coding/data-science experience.

Technical Skills: Proficient in Python; strong familiarity with SQL databases. Exposure to other languages (VBA, Java, C++) is a plus.

Finance Knowledge: Solid knowledge of equity portfolio performance attribution and risk management concepts. Strong understanding of Modern Portfolio Theory, multifactor risk models, and factor-based investing.

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar).

Industry Background: Experience in financial services (asset management, hedge funds, family offices, etc.), preferably on the buy-side.

Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development practices (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and software development best practices.

Communication: Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications: CFA or CQF certification (in progress or completed) is a plus.

APIs & Data Services: Experience with public API integration and GraphQL (e.g. building or consuming API endpoints for market and blockchain data) is highly desirable.
