Our Team:

The Cboe Regulatory Division is responsible for the oversight of the markets for which it has regulatory responsibility and market participants. The Division endeavors to achieve this goal through effective and efficient surveillance, examination, and investigative programs aimed at detecting and disciplining or preventing violative or otherwise inappropriate behavior.

The Division is actively seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Options Data team and work on new and ongoing data analysis initiatives within the Options Regulation Department.

What You’ll Do:

Quantitative Analysts in the Options Regulation Department are responsible for developing working solutions to augment and extend the Department’s analytical capabilities, including but not limited to analyzing order, trade, position and case data from surveillance and investigative tools.

In this role, you can expect to:

Analyze complex business and data analysis issues; identify, propose and develop effective solutionsCreate tailored regulatory data analysis reports, analytical solutions and data visualizations using a combination of Python, SQL, Tableau and other technologiesWork closely with regulatory stakeholders to elicit, define and document detailed requirements and functional specifications that fully capture business processes and accurately define required functionalityBuild and maintain a thorough understanding of Exchange trading and regulatory environments, in areas such as markets, products, relevant rules and regulations, technologies and systems, processes and operational methodologies, while contributing to the design and implementation of new data analysis solutionsCollaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams, particularly the Options Surveillance and Options Investigations and Regulatory Development teams to enhance or create solutionsActively participate in team projects, discussions and problem solvingActively participate in training/continuing education opportunities and meetings

What You’ll Need:

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, mathematics, data analytics, statistics, economics or similar concentration required2+ years experience in financial modeling, statistics and analysisProficient in Python, SQL, Tableau, MS Excel and MS WordKnowledge, interest or desire to learn about global financial markets with an emphasis on derivativesStrong analytical and research skills with the ability to analyze technical dataInnovative problem-solver able to quickly identify, understand and resolve issuesResourceful self-starter able to work autonomously and as a team playerExceptional written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to perform a wide variety of tasks simultaneously and change focus quicklyExperience in a regulatory or compliance environment is preferred

Our pay ranges are determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, role, experience, level, and location. The national new hire base pay range for this job in the United States is $89,250-$110,250. This range represents the minimum and maximum base pay the company expects to offer for new hires working in the position full time. If you live in one of the following areas or if you work in a Cboe office in the following areas, the range may be higher according to the geographic differentials listed below:


 

US Geographic Differentials:

110%: Austin TX, Chicago IL, Denver CO, San Diego CA 

115%: Los Angeles CA, Seattle WA 

120%: Boston MA, Washington DC 

125%: New York City NY  

130%: San Francisco CA 


 

Within the range, individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
