The Quality Test Engineer I is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through the design, development, and execution of test plans and test cases.
This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, as well as contributing to the continuous improvement of testing processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.Experience in executing manual/automated tests for builds.Familiarity with programming languages such as Java/SQL is a plus.Proficiency in using bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA) for defect management.Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teamsISTQB certification or any other relevant certifications (preferred) Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development environment (preferred)
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Develop comprehensive test plans based on project requirements and specifications.Execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases.Identify defects in software applications by conducting thorough functional, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing.Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues reported by customers or identified during testing.Document test results and provide clear reports on the status of testing activities.Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes by suggesting enhancements or new tools/methodologies.Stay up-to-date with industry trends in software quality assurance techniques.
