Job Description
The technician will be responsible for pulling samples from trucks and checking for moisture content. You will operate the scale and maintain excellent customer service with external customers and grain haulers. Proficiency with computer systems and applications is required, as is the ability to grade corn based on training provided. You will also assist other personnel as needed and complete tasks promptly as assigned by the Manager, while maintaining a team environment with other departments.
Responsibilities
+ Pull samples from trucks and check for moisture.
+ Operate scale and maintain customer service with external customers and grain haulers.
+ Operate computer system and become proficient with applications.
+ Grade corn based on training by Manager.
+ Assist other personnel as needed.
+ Complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner as assigned by Manager.
+ Maintain a team environment with other departments.
+ Ensure high levels of customer service and maintain a friendly atmosphere.
+ Adhere to company guidelines, regulatory standards, product quality, food safety, employee and environmental standards.
+ Read and interpret Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and comply with safe use or personal protective equipment requirements.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring serviceability and accountability of tools, equipment, and supplies.
+ Learn and understand basic operation of facilities process to better understand company needs.
+ Notify the Manager or appropriate management member of any inventory discrepancies.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ 2 years of previous food manufacturing experience preferred.
+ Excellent communication skills.
+ Ability to work flexible hours when needed.
Work Environment
The role involves grading, probing, and running grain lab tests on incoming trucks. This is a seasonal support position for the harvesting season, running from August to November, with work hours from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
