Description: Performs metallurgical and/or mechanical testing on manufactured products. Handles complex testing of manufactures product due to a broad understanding of test systems, and/or metallurgy. Must demonstrate successful completion of training Qualifications and examinations for NADCAP accreditation. Key Responsibilities: + Performs mechanical destructive testing on manufactured products as follows: + Hardness and Microhardness testing + Tensile, Shear, and Double-Shear testing + Fatigue testing + Insertion Force testing + Torque testing + Pin Break testing + May support preparation of test samples for metallurgical examination. + Prepares inspection cards/data sheets for recording/maintaining results. + Performs minor maintenance and repair of test equipment. + Performs processes in accordance with company procedures and specifications. + Performs all necessary inspections, tests, or calibrations in a timely manner. + Performs additional tasks as needed to support QA laboratory needs or as required by management. + Works in safe manner that promotes the health and wellbeing of the individual and environment: + Comply with all EHS rules and regulations and supervisory instructions. + Report all incidents including injuries, spills, fires, property damage, and near misses to their supervisor. + Perform other tasks as needed in support of manufacturing operations, customers and suppliers. The salary range for this position is $23.00 to $30.00 Physical Requirements: + Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs + Must be able to push/pull up to 30 lbs Basic Requirements: + Minimum of two years mechanical testing experience working in a manufacturing environment or equivalent + Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
